FORATOM welcomes new President, Jean-Michel Quilichini

FORATOM is pleased to announce that Jean-Michel Quilichini has been appointed by the association’s General Assembly as FORATOM President for a two-year period starting on 1 January 2022

I am delighted to take on this role as President at this time states Mr Quilichini. “2021 has been a turning point for nuclear as a sector and FORATOM as an association. Over the next two years I hope to continue contributing to this positive movement as an ever-increasing number of stakeholders recognise that nuclear has a key role to play in society”.

Since April 2019, Jean-Michel QUILICHINI has been director of the ‘Grand Carénage’ program which

is the life extension program of EDF’s French nuclear fleet. Prior to this, he was Director of EDF Corporate Audit as well as Director of the Board of EDF Energy Nuclear Generation.

Furthermore, Christopher Eckerberg, Vice President & General Manager of Vattenfall, Business Unit Nuclear Decommissioning, has been elected as Vice President of FORATOM, also for a two-year period.  He was previously Vice President, Innovation.
